Pilgrimage Description
Embark on an extraordinary 9-day pilgrimage along the renowned Camino de Santiago, journeying from the quaint town of Sarria to the historic city of Santiago, located in the beautiful northern region of Spain. This pilgrimage, also known as the Way of St. James, presents a unique opportunity for self-discovery, spiritual rejuvenation, inner healing, and bonding with fellow pilgrims from around the globe.
Together, we’ll traverse the full 114 kilometers necessary to earn the Compostela, the official certificate of pilgrimage, awarded upon reaching the hallowed destination of Santiago. This journey is not just a physical one, but a spiritual one, taking us through lush green landscapes, across gently rolling hills, and into charming hamlets steeped in history and culture.
The route we’ll be following is the popular French Way, starting from Sarria. This pathway is renowned for its vibrant camaraderie, with a multitude of fellow pilgrims sharing the journey. As we walk, we’ll be welcomed into cozy accommodations each night. The distances we cover each day are manageable, offering a perfect blend of challenge and comfort. The French Way strikes a harmonious balance, making it an ideal choice for both first-time and experienced pilgrims.

Itinerary
Below is an overview of our journey. We walk an average of 22 km daily across gently undulating terrain. Evenings are left free for quiet contemplation, journaling, connecting with new friends and rest.
Day 1: Travel to Sarria
Day 2: Sarria – Portomarín (22 km)
Day 3: Portomarín – Palas de Rei (24 km)
Day 4: Palas de Rei – Melide (14 km)
Day 5: Melide – Arzúa (15 km)
Day 6: Arzúa – Pedrouzo (20 km)
Day 7: Pedrouzo – Santiago (19 km)
Day 8: Rest day in Santiago
Day 9: Return travel to Madrid/Granada
